Gipson Suu is from Nalca village in the highlands of West Papua, a region heavily impacted by ongoing Indonesian military operations. As a member of the Mek tribe in Yahukimo, Gipson’s community is among those frequently intimidated, with disturbing reports of innocent lives lost to shootings and violence. Tragically, his brother and three of his friends were among those shot.
